Erin Galey

- No stranger to Heinz ketchup, Erin Roche Galey was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA. On track to becoming an astronaut at Brown University, she took a playwriting class and fell in love. Erin went on to earn an Honors degree in Playwriting. After working as a raft guide in the Grand Canyon, Erin was cast in a small role on a reality tv show, igniting a career in the film industry. She worked on numerous projects in Austin, TX, most prominently alongside cult director Bradley Beesley ("The Fearless Freaks"). She was also an active member of the TXRD Lonestar Rollergirls. In 2007, Erin was invited to NYU Tisch School of the Arts, Asia, as one of 33 students in the pioneer class, focusing on cinematography and directing. She worked on over 10 short films as a DP and gaffer, her cinematography taking her to both Tanzania and Nepal. Most recently, she directed and shot a commercial for Olympus Tough Series cameras. Erin is currently in development with Kathmandu-based company Film Himalaya, on a series of narrative and documentary projects based in Nepal. She maintains a position as a teaching assistant to cinematographer John Inwood at Tisch Asia.
